Answer 1

Answer:

C) Incidentally

Explanation:

Personally I don't like any of these answer choices. However, this one makes the most sense in this context. The others would need a much different set-up earlier on in the passage. "Incidentally" does not require such a set up, which is why it is the only one that fits.

The Chairman,

Osisioma Ngwa Local Council Area,

Aba.

          Sir,

REQUEST FOR BASIC SOCIAL AMENITIES IN UMUNGASI AREA

It is with great distress that I write to you sir, on behalf of the good people of Umungasi district of Osisioma Ngwa Local Council Area.

Umungasi district is one of the most important districts in Osisioma Ngwa Local Council Area owing to the fact that it serves as the economic and technological hub of the council area.

Unfortunately, Umungasi district suffers quite a number of challenging situations such as; the absence of clean water supply, lack of recreational infrastructure, dilapidated market structures among others.

Being the most boisterous economic hub of the council area and Abia state at large, it is unfortunate that the Umungasi Central market does not have structures that befit a 21st century market. All we have in the market are makeshift structures in which business activities have been carried out for decades.

Since Umungasi central market has now become an international market because people now come from Cameroon, Benin Republic, Togo, etc to buy and sell in the market, it is important that the market should be upgraded to the status of a 21st century international market.

Also, the problem of lack of clean water supply have become a perennial issue in Umungasi district. Successive Local Council administrations have promised to fix this problem but none of them ever fulfilled the promises made to Umungasi people.

Sir, I plead with you to use your good office to help the people of Umungasi. This will write your name in gold in the history of chairmen of this council area.

Thanks in anticipation of your prompt response to our requests.

                                                                                                 Yours Faithfully,

                                                                                                  Jude Njoku

IV. Narcissism: Beyond just being distracting and dangerous, ear buds are detrimental and damaging to society as a whole. Ear buds work against a community of listeners. Everyone is walking all over the neighborhood, plugged into their latest favorite playlist, but no one is talking to anyone. People who are addicted to their ear buds don't care about other people. They don't want community and contact with the real world. Ear buds also actively destroy live musicians' ability to make a living with their art form. No one wants live music anymore when they can pay less to hear it instantly and privately anytime they want. If we don't curb our use of ear buds, all our musicians will languish and no new music will be developed. Paintings were being stolen in Western Europe Jake said, hence option D is correct.

What are paintings?

Painting is a two-dimensional visual language where thoughts and emotions are expressed while also achieving specific aesthetic aspects.

On a flat surface, several approaches are employed to create impressions of volume, space, movement, and light using the language's forms, lines, colors, tones, and textures.

The act of putting paint, pigment, color, or another media on a solid surface is termed painting (called the "matrix" or "support").

However, different tools, like knives, sponges, and airbrushes, can be employed. The medium is often applied to the substrate with a brush.

Therefore, paintings were being stolen in Western Europe, hence option D is correct.
